How to take care of extensions

Advices on wellfare

Whether they are natural or synthetic, similar care is required. Before washing your hair, use a soft brush to get rid of any knots. Start at the ends and move up to the roots, without jerky movements that might loosen or damage the attachment to your scalp. Only after doing this should you wash your hair with a gentle shampoo and conditioner. The water should be lukewarm or cold to avoid damaging or drying the extensions. Don’t massage your head! Starting at the top of the extensions, make downward movements to wash your scalp and help the shampoo reach the tips. Rinse and remove excess water with a towel.

You can use a dryer provided you hold it around 20 centimetres from the roots, with cold or lukewarm air. Whenever possible, tie your hair back in a plait or a ponytail to prevent tangling.
